About Us

ABOUT DAZE SUMMIT

Daze Summit, pioneered by music mogul Scott Morris, is one of the fastest-growing, self-funded, annual festivals to hit NYC creating its own version of SXSW.

Established in 2016, Daze Summit is a platform that gives a voice to emerging and established artists, influencers, music executives, and business owners for the fans that support them.

This Spring festival allows attendees from all over the world an opportunity to network, showcase their talent, and educate themselves by attending panels and gaining first-hand knowledge on how to grow their social media presence through networking, attending events, & performing. Furthermore, the festival allows artists to network with executives and industry insiders they typically wouldn't have access to.

Artists attend these festivals to connect with their fans in real-time while simultaneously tapping into new markets that might appreciate their music.

While creating a way for artists to learn how to properly structure their music career as a business, Scott Morris felt it was necessary to create a festival that served as a conduit to help artists understand the importance of copyrights, song registration, how to set up shows & book themselves, how to work with promoters, & how to take their careers seriously.

The facts are the access to viable and reliable resources are limited for artists, therefore Scott utilizes his network so they have access to executives they wouldn’t ordinarily come into contact with. These artists actively grow their social media through networking with the 3,000+ attendees involved with the festival and it continues to see exponential growth every year. Artists also have the opportunity to showcase their talent by getting booked for live performances with attendees to gain exposure to a new audience in real time.

There is also a charity aspect of the whole festival, Daze Summit donates a portion of its proceeds every year to a deserving graduating high school student to champion them for reaching the next level while helping them pursue their future endeavors in college. By having a charity aspect attached to the festival, artists have an active role in their community with their participation in the festival due to the festival giving an annual donation to these students.

Since the inception of the Daze Summit, stages have been provided for performers such as Capella Grey, Coi Leray, Lil Tecca, K Goddess, BBEARDED, Bailey Lawson from A&R MGMT of Atlantic Record, Coey P., Lil Miss Chit Chat, DJ Drewski of The MVMT + Hot 97, DJ Waffles of Dash Radio, Gabe P On The Radar & Power 105.1, Kanai A&R of founded by Capella Grey, Shani Kulture of Hot 97, Too Official from Quality Control, Theo Brown from Empire and Trophy Life from Interscope just to name a few.

Scott Morris and his Daze Summit team have raised over $25,000 in scholarship donations to date. Presently, they've built relationships with representatives of labels such as Atlantic Records, 300 Entertainment, Interscope, Def Jam, Roc Nation, Quality Control & more. The offering of Daze Summit is business growth & business development panels that focus on the following areas: Songwriting, Publishing, Music Administration, Fashion, LLC’s, Music Licensing, Social Media Marketing, Brand Development & much more.

Daze Summit has also allowed artists to expand into different markets such as Paris, Los Angeles, Miami, Detroit and more after meeting promoters or reps at the Daze Summit Festival. The primary objective of Daze Summit is to impact the community, help raise awareness of more emerging talent, create opportunities for business growth, help high school students achieve better opportunities & education, to create opportunities for jobs and to help as many people as possible interested in the entertainment industry to gain insight, learn how to structure their business, land internships and to hone in on their career. With that momentum and a genuine cause, Daze Summit will impact the community and the entertainment industry for years to come.
